Miss Catherine Messina is the lead teacher of the 3-year-old extended day classes. After graduating from UCSB, Miss Catherine knew she wanted to teach preschool. Since she was hired in 2005, Miss Catherine has worked with various ages at Newport Coast Preschool. Now with 3-year-olds, she loves to see the huge amount of growth that each child makes from the beginning of the school year to the end. Along with her assistants, Miss Catherine creates a classroom environment that is warm and nurturing and full of opportunities to create and explore.
