- Newport Coast Preschool is a private, non-denominational and non-political school that is open to all children regardless of race, creed or nationality. Students must be 2½ to 5 years of age.
- Children must be completely potty-trained to attend preschool. Wearing diapers or training pants is not allowed.
- As a private school, we reserve the right to refuse any applicant.
- Every child, including those who are presently enrolled, must reapply each year. Applications must be turned in during the appropriate Registration period (Please see Calendar for exact dates) and late applicants are not guaranteed placement.
- Priority enrollment will be given first to Currently Enrolled students and their siblings and Alumni siblings. Second, to all Parent/Toddler students. Any additional openings will be filled on a lottery basis by New Students during the Open Enrollment period.
- Families earn a point for each month of attendance. Siblings whoa ttend at the same time earn another ½ point every month. The order for priority enrollment is based on how many points the family has accumulated. Families with the same number of points will be randomly put in to an order.
- Attending Parent/Toddler will earn a family Currently Enrolled status, and consequently grant early registration during the first Registration period. Parent/Toddler does not earn points toward priority registration.
- The Registration period for Currently Enrolled, Alumni, and Parent/Toddler students is one week every January. (Please see Calendar for exact dates).
- The Registration period for New Students is the first full week of February, beginning on the first Monday of the month. (Please see Calendar for exact dates).
- Submission of an application for admission does guarantee enrollment. Students are not considered enrolled until you receive an enrollment confirmation letter signed by the director, and you have submitted the appropriate fees along with a signed contract.
- We encourage New Student Applicants to mark as many program choices on your application that you’re willing to accept in order to increase your chances of enrollment. Please keep in mind that with Currently Enrolled and Alumni families registering before you, some programs will become full (usually most morning classes).
- If we are unable to be enroll your child in your 1st, 2nd or 3rd, etc... program choices, he/she will be placed on those waiting lists.
- Our Pre-K Program is for those students who turn five (5) years of age between June 1st and December 2nd.
- Our Young Pre-K Program is for those students who turn five (5) years of age between December 3rd and May 31st.
- All returning students are guaranteed placement for the next year, with the exception of our Pre-K Program. Due to the high demand for this program we cannot guarantee space for every four-year-old returning student who requests it.
- Annual Tuition is on an annual basis, payable in ten (10) installments, due on the 1st of each month September-June. Your security deposit (due upon confirmation of enrollmemt) is applied as your last tuition installment.
- Summer School is an eight week program. The last day to drop or change Summer School schedules is May 1st. Tuition for Summer School is a one-time payment due by May 1st. Tuition is non-refundable after May 1st.
- School Year Security Deposits are refundable until July 1st. If withdrawal notice is given after July 1st but before August 15th, the Security Deposit will become a credit to be used in the future. If notice is given after August 15th, the Security Deposit is applied as September's tuition installment.
