Newport Coast Child Development Preschool prides itself on
safety and security due to it's creative architecture and
innovative technology. As our families approach the front
door they are welcomed by our Assistant Director whose desk
sits in the front office. Each parent must sign their children
in and out each day. If anyone other than a parent is picking
up the child we ask for a picture identification and that
person must be on the child's emergency card.
Each classroom is equipped with a video camera which is recording
throughout the day. Additional video cameras are located in our parking lot, office and playground for constant surveillance and supervision. The viewing monitor is located in
the Director's office and may be viewed at any time by parents.
All of the classrooms are bright and airy due to the number
of windows that surround them. Parents and administration
can see what is going on in the classroom at all times.
So that we may provide the utmost in supervision, our staff/child
ratios are much lower than the state requirements. In our
two and a half and three year old classes, the ratio is 1:6.
In our four and five year old classes, it is 1:10. This not
only provides the children with proper supervision but also
a chance for a more one-on-one with each child.
In the interest of keeping all our students safe, starting June 2008, Newport Coast Preschool will be a peanut free campus.
All staff members are CPR and First Aid certified and renewed every two years.
